Job Description

Alight is seeking a seasoned Director of Health Product, Point Solutions to lead strategic product initiatives within our Benefits Administration portfolio. This leader will be responsible for product planning, execution and management through the product lifecycle. You will work across strategic priorities, capabilities and solution features, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision with stakeholders, and working closely with UX design, engineering, analytics, marketing and client delivery. This includes ensuring that the product supports Alight's overall strategy and goals. You will manage a team of senior Product Managers and Product Owners, and deliver complex, large-scale solutions that meet the needs of clients, members, and operational stakeholders.

Job Responsibility

  • Define and drive the product strategy for Reimbursement Account Solutions, Verification Services Solutions, and Compliance Solutions
  • Translate executive leadership vision into clear product roadmaps, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
  • Identify market opportunities, client needs, and emerging regulatory requirements to inform product direction.
  • Balance short-term delivery commitments with long-term strategic innovation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of senior Product Managers and Product Owners.
  • Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and career development plans for team members.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain transparency with executive leadership and stakeholders through ongoing status updates on KPIs and OKRs.
  • Oversee large, complex, multi-year product initiatives across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between product, technology, operations, compliance, and client delivery teams.
  • Lead and participate in scoping, requirement gathering, solution design, validation, deployment and client adoption. Partner with engineering teams to ensure scope, timelines and deliverables are clear, and that requirements are fully understood
  • Define objectives and key success metrics, assessing outcomes and owning plans to drive results.
  • Work closely with user experience and research teams to understand and serve unmet client and customer needs through persona-driven design.
  • Apply Agile methodologies to drive iterative delivery, continuous feedback, and predictable outcomes.
  • Partner closely with engineering, architecture, operations, compliance, deployment and client relationship teams.
  • Build consensus among stakeholders with differing priorities and perspectives.
  • Act as the primary product liaison to executive leadership for assigned portfolios.
  • Communicate product strategy, progress, and outcomes to senior stakeholders.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client and member needs within benefits administration, particularly reimbursement accounts, dependent verification services and compliance.
  • Drive product decisions that improve usability, efficiency, compliance, and client satisfaction.
  • Incorporate commercial and client feedback, data insights, and operational considerations into product planning.
  • Ensure products meet all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in spending account management (e.g., FSA, HSA, HRA, commuter, lifestyle accounts), verification services and compliance services (ACA reporting, POA, QDRO).
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to anticipate and address regulatory changes.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in benefits administration or employee benefits, with increasing responsibility in product roles.
  • Proven track record of leading large, complex enterprise product initiatives.
  • Experience managing and developing teams of senior Product Managers and Product Owners.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and modern product delivery practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and build alignment across functions.
