We are currently seeking a highly experienced, dynamic, and driven Director of Governance & Regulatory Affairs to lead our Quality and Risk function.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead and empower the Governance & Regulatory Affairs team, ensuring high performance and engagement. Foster a proactive, collaborative leadership culture across the Group
  • Governance Framework: Design and implement a governance framework, oversee policy development, and manage the whistleblowing service. Ensure compliance with quality assurance, health & safety, and regulatory processes
  • Operational Processes: Ensure effective processes for safeguarding, complaints, and significant events, providing support and oversight as needed
  • Information Governance: Act as Data Protection Officer, ensuring GDPR and data protection compliance, and collaborate with IT on cybersecurity
  • Regulatory Oversight: Manage regulatory registrations, inspection records, and Ofsted relationships. Support operational teams with regulatory matters
  • External Communications: Assist operational teams in external communications related to quality, risk, and compliance

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading and managing high-performing teams
  • Demonstrable project management experience and the ability to oversee complex initiatives
  • Subject matter expertise in data protection, with relevant qualifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM) desirable
  • Extensive experience working in a regulated environment, liaising with regulators and external authorities
  • A track record of successfully reviewing, designing, and embedding robust processes
  • Strong communicator with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
