The Director of Finance is responsible for safeguarding the hotel assets and financial resources to ensure that all are utilized to maximize hotel profitability. Provides timely and accurate financial information and counsel to hotel senior management and ensures that the hotel operates within all related local and corporate policies and procedures and under the terms of the management agreement.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor, control and record all sales, purchases, salaries and expenses of the hotel
Ensure the preparation of a comprehensive monthly report of the entire financial results of the hotel
Prepare forecasts and budgets as required
Comply with and enforce Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
Review the cash position of the hotel on a daily basis
Maintain files on all contracts, leases and agreements
Monitor the status of Accounts Receivable aging and billing collections
Assist General Manager in establishing policies, rules, internal controls and safeguards
Maintain close relations with hotel’s internal and external auditors
Requirements:
Five years of experience minimum
College education or equivalent experience
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation
Solid work ethic, good business acumen and a passion for service
Work authorization for the location is required
