As Director of Finance for Four Seasons Hotel Hanoi at Hoan Kiem Lake, you will be a key member of the Planning Committee, responsible for safeguarding the hotel’s assets and financial resources while maximising profitability. Reporting to the General Manager, you will provide strategic financial leadership, ensure compliance with local and corporate policies, and deliver timely and accurate financial reporting. This is a pivotal role requiring integrity, analytical rigour, and the ability to guide both senior leadership and finance teams in achieving the highest standards of operational and financial excellence.
Job Responsibility:
Lead Financial Strategy: Develop and execute financial strategies that optimise profitability and align with the hotel’s goals, corporate standards, and Management Agreement
Deliver Accurate Reporting: Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and corporate requirements
Safeguard Assets: Oversee internal controls, compliance, and risk management to protect the hotel’s financial integrity, including bank accounts, reconciliations, and contract management
Optimise Operations: Monitor, control, and record all revenues, expenses, and labour costs while continuously striving for process improvement and efficiency
Enhance Owner Relations: Build transparent and collaborative relationships with hotel ownership and auditors, ensuring compliance with financial covenants and addressing recommendations effectively
Drive Business Performance: Support the Planning Committee and department heads with financial insights, forecasts, and budgets that strengthen decision-making and identify new business opportunities
Develop Talent: Mentor and grow finance team members, cultivating a culture of professional development, accountability, and continuous learning
Foster Collaboration: Maintain strong partnerships across all hotel departments and the corporate office, supporting operational leaders with financial expertise
Requirements:
University degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3-5 years of leadership experience in finance, in a same capacity, within a hotel or resort environment, ideally in the luxury sector
Proven technical knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial systems
Highest level of integrity, transparency, and ethical judgement
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present effectively to diverse audiences
Strategic thinker with analytical acumen and solid business judgement
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel financial systems
working knowledge of all positions within Accounting, Purchasing, and Information Technology
Fluency in English
