Director of Finance

• Lead Financial Strategy: Develop and execute financial strategies that optimise profitability and align with the hotel’s goals, corporate standards, and Management Agreement
• Deliver Accurate Reporting: Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and corporate requirements
• Safeguard Assets: Oversee internal controls, compliance, and risk management to protect the hotel’s financial integrity, including bank accounts, reconciliations, and contract management
• Optimise Operations: Monitor, control, and record all revenues, expenses, and labour costs while continuously striving for process improvement and efficiency
• Enhance Owner Relations: Build transparent and collaborative relationships with hotel ownership and auditors, ensuring compliance with financial covenants and addressing recommendations effectively
• Drive Business Performance: Support the Planning Committee and department heads with financial insights, forecasts, and budgets that strengthen decision-making and identify new business opportunities
• Develop Talent: Mentor and grow finance team members, cultivating a culture of professional development, accountability, and continuous learning
• Foster Collaboration: Maintain strong partnerships across all hotel departments and the corporate office, supporting operational leaders with financial expertise

• University degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3-5 years of leadership experience in finance, in a same capacity, within a hotel or resort environment, ideally in the luxury sector
• Proven technical knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial systems
• Highest level of integrity, transparency, and ethical judgement
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present effectively to diverse audiences
• Strategic thinker with analytical acumen and solid business judgement
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel financial systems
• working knowledge of all positions within Accounting, Purchasing, and Information Technology
• Fluency in English
