Job Responsibility:
Part of the executive team at the Heidelberg Marriott Hotel, indispensable for achieving corporate goals
Work closely with the General Manager and hotel departments
Implement strategies and initiatives that maximize the return on investment for the hotel
Carry out financial and accounting activities to achieve desired results
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and budget planning
Be the contact person for internal and external audits
Be the central point of contact for all financial accounting issues
Work closely with department heads and management
Drive the further development of the Finance & Accounting team
Support the training and further education of employees and trainees
Requirements:
Relevant experience in finance and accounting in the hotel industry
Management experience
Degree in finance and accounting and/or successfully completed training as an accountant
Expert in cost centers, cost types, and cost unit accounting
Very familiar with international accounting standards (HGB and Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry)
Ability to keep a cool head in stressful situations
Skilled communicator
Comfortable speaking both German and English
