Job Description:

As Director of Finance (m/f/d) for the Heidelberg Marriott Hotel, you will play a key role in the success of our hotel and be part of our executive team. Job Responsibility:

  • Part of the executive team at the Heidelberg Marriott Hotel, indispensable for achieving corporate goals
  • Work closely with the General Manager and hotel departments
  • Implement strategies and initiatives that maximize the return on investment for the hotel
  • Carry out financial and accounting activities to achieve desired results
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and budget planning
  • Be the contact person for internal and external audits
  • Be the central point of contact for all financial accounting issues
  • Work closely with department heads and management
  • Drive the further development of the Finance & Accounting team
  • Support the training and further education of employees and trainees

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in finance and accounting in the hotel industry
  • Management experience
  • Degree in finance and accounting and/or successfully completed training as an accountant
  • Expert in cost centers, cost types, and cost unit accounting
  • Very familiar with international accounting standards (HGB and Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry)
  • Ability to keep a cool head in stressful situations
  • Skilled communicator
  • Comfortable speaking both German and English
