Director of Finance

• Lead and mentor financial staff, including the Staff Accountant, Purchasing Coordinator, and Payroll Clerk
• Oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to organizational policies
• Provide comprehensive financial analysis to support strategic planning and executive decision-making
• Develop and manage the organization's budget, including forecasting and long-term financial planning
• Ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting, conducting audits and reviews to maintain compliance
• Supervise audits and compliance initiatives, including financial statements, benefit plans, and regulatory filings
• Collaborate with department heads to review budget reports, analyze variances, and provide actionable recommendations
• Manage relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and advisors to ensure smooth operations
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports to the Finance Committee, Board Treasurer, and Executive Leadership
• Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to protect organizational assets and investments

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• advanced certifications preferred
• 7–10 years of accounting experience
• 3–5 years in a supervisory capacity
• Proven expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, fund accounting, and budget management
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in nonprofit financial management is highly desirable

• Strong organizational skills
• Valid Texas driver’s license or capability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe
