The Director of Finance & Transformation will serve as a critical member of the leadership team, partnering with the CEO and private equity operating partners to drive enterprise value creation. This role blends strategic oversight, hands-on execution, and cross-functional leadership. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and has prior experience in private equity-backed portfolio companies. This individual will lead financial planning and analysis, oversee operational finance initiatives, and manage board-level reporting.
Job Responsibility
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Prepare and present board decks for shareholder meetings and senior leadership sessions
Drive value creation projects, including M&A integration and synergy realization
Develop and implement business intelligence dashboards and performance metrics
Conduct scenario modeling to support strategic growth initiatives
Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and commercial teams to align financial strategies with business objectives
Requirements
8–10 years of financial analysis and operational finance experience in an operating company
Proven experience working with private equity firms and portfolio companies REQUIRED. Must have demonstrated working monthly with PE Firm
Strong background in board deck preparation and executive-level reporting
Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
ability to translate data into strategic insights
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
experience with PowerBI preferred
BS/BA in Finance or related field
CPA or MBA a plus
Ability to work onsite in NW Houston five days a week
Previous experience managing direct reports is a plus
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
ability to influence without authority
Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities
Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Must have worked with a Portfolio Company of a Private Equity Firm
10 plus year's work experience
Looking for a candidate that has Operational Finance Experience not Mergers and Acquisitions
