Mission-critical position at the heart of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust to ensure the organisation is financially strong, operationally effective, and strategically equipped to deliver maximum impact for people with cystic fibrosis. The role involves sound financial stewardship, thoughtful investment, and values-led decision-making that directly supports better outcomes for the CF community.
Job Responsibility:
Lead a multidisciplinary directorate encompassing Finance, IT and digital transformation, People and Organisation Development, Strategy and Business Intelligence, Facilities, and Company Secretariat functions
Lead the Trust’s digital and IT transformation, including the delivery of a new CRM system in 2026
Help ensure the Trust is financially strong, operationally effective, and strategically equipped to deliver maximum impact
Act as a key strategic partner to the Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees
Oversee a £15m budget
Requirements:
Qualified accountant
Senior-level experience
Credibility to operate at Board and executive level
Strong track record of strategic financial leadership
Experience guiding organisations through change and complexity
Confidence influencing senior stakeholders and Boards
Collaborative, inclusive leadership style
Clear commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
Alignment with the organisation's mission and values
A satisfactory DBS check will be required
Nice to have:
Experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector
