We have partnered with a successful company on their search for an experienced Director of Facilities with proven capital planning experience. This role focuses on evaluating building conditions, shaping annual investment priorities, and overseeing approved improvement projects from planning through completion. The position also supports operational continuity by strengthening purchasing practices, vendor partnerships, and inventory oversight while working closely with property leadership and accounting teams.
Job Responsibility
Lead the annual capital improvement planning cycle for assigned properties, aligning project priorities with company standards and long-term asset needs
Perform recurring on-site facility reviews and prepare detailed condition assessments that identify current deficiencies, near-term repair needs, and future maintenance considerations
Partner with General Managers to evaluate each property and develop capital recommendations for executive leadership and ownership review
Manage approved capital projects from bid solicitation through vendor selection, contract coordination, project execution, and completion follow-up
Establish practical methods for monitoring project expenditures, approvals, and budget performance in collaboration with accounting
Oversee purchasing activities for materials, equipment, parts, and services required to support both daily operations and capital work
Negotiate pricing and service terms with suppliers, assess vendor effectiveness, and help standardize procurement practices across the portfolio
Maintain appropriate inventory levels for departmental supplies and critical spare parts to reduce operational disruptions and unnecessary emergency purchasing
Supervise warehouse and storage arrangements, ensuring supplies are organized, accessible, and aligned with property needs
Requirements
5+ years of supervisory experience within the hospitality/facilities management industry
Capital Planning experience a MUST
Proven technical budgeting expertise
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Understanding of building codes and standards
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
