The Director of Facility Operations is the primary site leader for Aramark at the client site. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations with a dotted line to the Executive Director of Facilities and Asset Management, this role is responsible for the 24/7 facility operations of a high-density, potential 3,000-person residential community.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, mentor, engage and develop teams to maximize their contributions, including recruiting, assessing, training, coaching and managing performance
Coach employees by creating a shared understanding about what needs to be achieved and how to execute. Reward and recognize employees
Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationship. Demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark's standard model
Identify client needs and effectively communicate operational progress
Adopt Aramark process and systems
Ensure the completion and maintenance of P&L statements
Deliver client and company financial targets
Adopt all Aramark processes and systems, understand performance metrics, data, order and inventory trends
educate teams on key levers to improve margins
Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers and employees
Comply with all applicable policies, rules and regulations, including but not limited to those relating to safety, health, wage and hour
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Facility Management, or a related technical field
FMP (Facility Management Professional) or SFP (Sustainability Facility Professional) certification is highly preferred
Combination of education and experience will also be considered
Minimum of 7–10 years of management experience in large-scale residential campuses, corporate housing, or high-density hospitality environments (3,000+ occupants)
Proven track record of managing a "Mother Site" while simultaneously standing up additional satellite locations
Strong mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP) knowledge with specific experience in water treatment/softening and high-efficiency air filtration
Expert-level experience with CMMS and project management software (e.g., Smartsheet, Asset Essentials)
Exceptional ability to lead in a high-pressure, "mission-critical" environment where AI data center timelines dictate housing needs
Nice to have:
Experience managing facilities in extreme climates (high wind, dust, extreme heat) is a significant plus
