The Director of Executive Operations will lead Crusoe’s Executive Assistant function, owning the strategy, structure, and effectiveness of executive support across the company. This role is responsible for building a scalable EA operating model, setting clear standards, and developing the EA team to deliver consistent, high-quality support to leaders as Crusoe grows. This position is focused on organizational leadership rather than direct administrative support. The Director will operate as the functional leader for Executive Assistants, defining expectations, improving operating rigor, and ensuring alignment with leadership priorities and company operating cadence. The individual in this role must exercise sound judgment, adapt to varied leadership styles, and bring structure to a fast-moving environment.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage the EA team, providing clearing direction, coaching, feedback, and professional development
Own the operating model for executive support across the organization, ensuring clarity of roles, coverage, and service levels
Create and evolve a framework for EA career progression, skills development, and growth opportunities
Support workload balancing and ensure the team has clear expectations, processes, and tools
Build a collaborative EA community with shared best practices and regular team learning sessions
Foster a strong EA team culture focused on trust, collaboration, learning, and shared accountability
Drive consistency in how executives engage with and leverage EA support
Work closely with People and Workplace Operations on staffing plans, hiring, and long-term organizational design for the EA function
This role requires travel to connect with EAs across locations and develop a strong understanding of our people, teams, and workplaces
Evaluate current administrative workflows and implement improvements that increase efficiency and consistency
Build templates, playbooks, and processes that support a scalable EA model
Strengthen scheduling norms, communication frameworks, and cross-functional coordination with leaders and departments
Partner with Workplace Operations leadership on long-term planning for structure, systems, and capabilities within the EA function
Brings a high level of discretion and professionalism, comfortable operating independently while managing confidential and sensitive information
Provide oversight and guidance during high-stakes leadership events, planning cycles, and company moments
Requirements:
8–12+ years working closely with senior leadership teams, with strong understanding of executive operations
Demonstrated ability to influence and drive alignment beyond direct reporting lines
Experience managing or developing a team of EAs or administrative professionals
Proven ability to build and scale operational frameworks, standards, and service models
Strong communication skills and ability to create alignment across leadership and support functions
A structured and pragmatic approach to prioritization and problem solving
Ability to work on-site five days per week and coordinate across multiple time zones
Brings a high level of discretion and professionalism, comfortable operating independently while managing confidential and sensitive information
