Director of Engineering

• Lead, unite and develop a multidisciplinary technical team
• Foster a culture of excellence, service and accountability
• Ensure continuous training, coaching and skills development
• Guarantee rigorous application of Four Seasons procedures and local regulations
• Act as a hands-on, visible, committed and exemplary leader
• Oversee all preventive, corrective and statutory maintenance operations
• Serve as technical authority in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, fire safety, pool hydraulics
• Ensure full regulatory compliance and safety
• Optimize use of CMMS and improve maintenance programs
• Plan, coordinate and oversee major maintenance, renovation and improvement projects
• Manage external contractors and ensure compliance with timelines, budgets and quality standards
• Contribute to long-term asset management and capital planning
• Prepare, manage and control annual Opex and Capex budgets
• Define priorities and ensure rigorous financial tracking
• Optimize costs while maintaining excellence
• Monitor and analyze water, electricity and gas consumption
• Propose, implement and lead action plans for reducing consumption and improving energy performance
• Identify and drive optimization opportunities

• Three to five years of previous employment in a Director of Engineering position
• Five years previous management experience in hotel or building engineering maintenance
• Managing a complex with multiple business units (hotel, residential, club, and commercial space) is preferred
• Solid project management skills, strong work ethic, adaptability and flexibility and leadership skills
• Qualifications: Professional degree in an Engineering discipline, trade degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering, or CEOE, BOMI designation, RPA, FMA, or SMA
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish

Managing a complex with multiple business units (hotel, residential, club, and commercial space) is preferred
