Job Description:

We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the core Marketplace Products domain, responsible for building a resilient, scalable, and innovative ad tech platform that supports creators and advertisers. This role includes leading Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers, defining the technical roadmap, architectural ownership, organizational scaling, and cross-functional alignment with commercial teams.

Job Responsibility:

serve as the people manager for Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers
co-design the organization structure to maximize delivery efficiency
drive career paths, coaching, and succession planning
lead recruitment efforts for strategic, specialized ad tech and platform engineering talent
define and drive the technical roadmap 18 months ahead
ensure the ad tech platform can scale reliably to support growth
own the end-to-end architecture
advocate for strategic technical investments in core systems
translate business needs into scalable engineering solutions
ensure execution velocity, reliability, and incident response
partner with product and design teams for feasibility and innovation

Requirements:

7+ years of progressive experience in Engineering leadership roles (Senior EM or DoE level)
prior experience leading teams responsible for complex, Ad tech or e-commerce platforms
bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (e.g., Computer Science)
experience with cloud-native microservices architecture and data-driven decision-making
