Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Director of Engineering (Manufacturing) to join our growing organization in Gunnison, Utah. The candidate should have 10+ years of experience building high-performing Manufacturing Engineering teams, applying strong Program Management skills, and executing hands-on engineering solutions when needed. As a leader, the individual must drive innovation, improve efficiency, and collaborate across teams to ensure operational success.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a Manufacturing Engineering team to foster collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with business goals for manufacturing process efficiency
  • Recruit engineering talent and promote professional development to grow the team
  • Manage cross-functional programs, ensuring they meet timelines and budgets while minimizing risks
  • Provide hands-on engineering support for critical projects and process optimizations
  • Implement best practices to enhance production workflows and improve product quality
  • Integrate cutting-edge manufacturing technologies to boost operational effectiveness
  • Collaborate with design, operations, supply chain, and quality teams for seamless development
  • Manage department budgets, resource planning, and capital projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred
  • Master’s preferred)
  • Over 10 years of experience building and leading engineering teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong Program Management skills in handling complex multi-stakeholder projects
  • Able to balance leadership with hands-on engineering problem-solving
  • Expertise in process optimization, lean manufacturing, and advanced manufacturing systems
  • Proven innovation and efficiency achievements within manufacturing
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
  • Willingness to relocate to Gunnison, Utah and work onsite
