We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Engineering and Product Integration to lead our scaling efforts, enhance our product development processes, and ensure seamless integration across all departments. This role is pivotal in driving our company’s growth by aligning our technological advancements with market needs and internal capabilities.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement a strategic vision for product development and engineering that aligns with company and stakeholder goals
Oversee the roadmap for product development, ensuring products meet market demands and maintain technological edge
Streamline and optimize internal processes to support scalability, focusing on software development, hardware integration, and client support workflows
Lead technical project management efforts with internal resources and 3rd party development augmentation teams, ensuring timely delivery of projects while maintaining high standards of quality
Provide technical leadership across teams, ensuring best practices in software and hardware development
Evaluate and integrate new technologies or processes that can enhance product quality, development speed, or operational efficiency
Act as a liaison between engineering, product, support, and other departments, ensuring cohesive and efficient operations
Resolve interdepartmental issues, particularly concerning product bugs or integration challenges
Drive the product life cycle from conception to launch, ensuring market fit, technical feasibility, and business viability
Collaborate with product managers and marketing to understand market needs and competitive landscape
Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of engineers, and developers
Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and high performance within the engineering and product teams
Communicate effectively with stakeholders including investors, board members, and external partners about technical strategies, progress, and challenges
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s preferred
10+ years of experience in software development or systems engineering, with a significant portion in a leadership or senior management role
Proven track record in scaling technology products or companies
Deep understanding of software development lifecycles, Agile methodologies, and product management principles
Experience with vision systems, AI/ML, or similar technologies is a strong plus
Excellent project management skills with a history of delivering on time and within budget
Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across diverse teams
Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends and technological advancements
Inspirational leader who can motivate and guide teams towards common goals
Resilient problem-solver capable of navigating complex technical and business challenges
