Job Description

A prestigious, future-thinking independent school is appointing a Director of Employability & Entrepreneurship. This is a newly created, strategic leadership role designed for a high-calibre professional who can bridge the gap between elite education and the rapidly evolving global economy. Rather than a traditional careers role, this is an invitation to design and deliver a whole-school agenda that weaves entrepreneurial mindsets and 'real-world' competencies into the very fabric of the curriculum. You will empower pupils to not only navigate the next stage of their education but to thrive as innovators in the world of work.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and implement a whole-school strategy to embed employability and enterprise across academic and pastoral programmes
  • Create and leverage a high-level network of alumni and industry leaders to secure internships, mentoring, and 'real-world' challenges for pupils
  • Design initiatives that allow students to explore business planning, social enterprise, and innovation methodologies like Design Thinking
  • Ensure compliance with Gatsby Benchmarks while providing professional guidance on modern recruitment trends and graduate market shifts
  • Produce data-driven impact reports for the Senior Leadership Team and Governors to measure student outcomes and engagement

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level
  • Proven experience in talent management, recruitment (especially graduate level), or HR
  • An innovative, 'future-facing' thinker with emotional intelligence
  • Right to work in the UK

Requirements
  • 5–7 years of experience in social media, content strategy, or thought leadership, ideally at a high-growth startup, fintech, or consumer brand where you were setting the agenda, not following one
  • You are very online. Twitter and LinkedIn are tabs you never close. Your FYP and Reels tab are dialed. You understand the culture of each platform natively and know how to build an audience, not just broadcast to one
  • A news obsessive - you read widely, across tech, finance, policy, and culture, and you have sharp instincts for reactive content: when to jump in, what angle to take, and when to stay quiet
  • Deep fluency in AI and emerging technology
  • A strong, versatile writer who can shift between brand voice and executive voice without losing what makes either one compelling
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple content calendars, stakeholders, and competing deadlines without losing the thread

  • Produce and publish content across formats - written posts, threads, short-form video, graphics - that reflects Bilt's unique voice and POV
  • Lead the production process for your content: from ideation and scripting, to coordinating internal talent, locations, and shoot schedules, to overseeing post-production with internal and external editors
  • Amplify product launches, announcements, and milestones to maximize reach and impact
  • Maintain a content calendar and publishing cadence across platforms, balancing planned content with timely, reactive moments
