Job Description

The Director of Digital Analytics is primarily responsible for organizing and analyzing data, gathering insights, and making data-driven recommendations that will help optimize client fundraising strategies. This is a key role to bridge the gap between analytics and client teams and will closely collaborate with the leaders of departments across the organization in order to manage the efficient utilization of analytics resources to provide sophisticated services to agency clients. This is a leadership role on the team that will engage in mentoring and training other team members, will delegate and assign work to the team, and will support team members’ professional development.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing overall workload of agency digital analytics team, determine prioritization and staff assignment for each project
  • Leading the agency’s digital analytics team in providing excellent analytical support to agency clients
  • Collaborating with departments to understand their needs and navigating priorities
  • Developing and improving processes to document and automate key performance indicators and communicate insights to clients and internal stakeholders, including the executive leadership team
  • Working with other teams, including engineering and data science, to constantly improve data reliability and quality
  • Conducting quality assurance checks on the analytics team’s work and connecting pieces to define broader goals

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience in data analysis and/or business intelligence
  • Extensive experience with Python, SQL, Tableau and/or similar visualization software used to manage database and draw insights from complex data sets
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience managing and/or mentoring data analysts, aiding in their growth and development

  • Experience working in a professional services (agency) environment supporting nonprofit or political client needs
  • PMP Certification
