Job Responsibility
Design and execute the global design and estimating strategy aligned with Onnec’s growth objectives
Enhance global standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks to ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy
Build a scalable operating model that supports growth, efficiency, and improved hit‑rates across all regions
Be a key member of the Sales Leadership Team (SLT), that contributes to Global Growth initiatives and strategic projects
Lead, coach, and motivate regional design and estimating leaders to foster a high‑performance culture
Oversee workforce planning, capability development, and succession planning
Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration across regions to build a global community of excellence
Build strong working relationships across multiple functions across the Onnec Organisation i.e. Operations, Sales, Sales Operations and Finance
Champion innovation by evaluating emerging technologies, tools, and design methodologies, continually
assessing the application of these across D&E to improve ease & efficiency
Implement a continuous improvement programme to enhance quality, reduce error rates, and improve commercial outcomes
Develop and influence strategic relationships with key manufacturers and distributors
Collaborate with procurement and solutions leadership to align global partner engagement and pricing strategy
Ensure consistent global processes for manufacturer engagement, technical validation, and pricing integrity
Act as a senior technical authority for major bids, global opportunities, and strategic accounts
Provide executive oversight on high‑value or complex solutions across data centre, ICT, and structured cabling sectors
Support sales teams globally in customer meetings, solution positioning, and value engineering initiatives
Track global KPI frameworks, including accuracy, utilisation, errorrates, win/loss metrics and internal quality measures
Ensure robust governance around design reviews, estimation accuracy, and commercial compliance
Report regularly to executive leadership on performance, risk, capacity, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Minimum 10+ years in senior leadership roles within technical design, estimating, or pre-sales
Deep technical knowledge of structured cabling, data centre technologies, and ICT infrastructure
Proven experience managing multi-region or global technical teams
Strong commercial mindset with experience supporting large-scale bids
Exceptional communication, influence, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills
Financial acumen with the ability to evaluate complex cost models
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-growth global environment
Strategic thinker with strong execution capability
