Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on leader for the Director of Data Strategy and Insights role to be responsible for strategy, backlog management and collaborating with a broad cross-discipline team. We need a people manager who fosters an inclusive culture and growth mindset. You will partner effectively with teams across Cloud Operations and Innovation and Azure to design holistic solutions requiring technical depth to balance multiple technology options. You will have to understand the limitations of the existing technology and how to plot a course for a scalable solution that enables the future of AI datacenters. The ideal candidate combines extensive product ownership and experience with data systems to provide a democratized reporting offering that is made scalable through governance, reporting automation, and KPI standardization. This person will drive efforts to consolidate, rationalize, and simplify how teams across the organization access, consume, and trust data—eliminating redundant BI reports, reducing manual correlation, and creating clear data benchmarks for measuring business performance.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the analytics function for Core Datacenter Services spares supply chain, driving insights that drive supply chain and operations decisions
  • Set the vision, drive prioritization, and guide technical approaches for leveraging data across all of Supply Chain and Data Center Operations to identify and pursue the right business opportunities
  • Utilize Microsoft technologies to revolutionize data analytics growth within the team, enhancing the speed, accuracy, and scalability of data analysis and insight generation
  • Develop and manage relationships with program and business leaders across the organization to understand objectives and identify opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with other Microsoft Data Analytics and Data Engineering teams to deliver data-informed solutions to address the business's most essential needs
  • Create and maintain a data analytics roadmap
  • Run sprint/quarter/semester planning and foster cross-team collaboration to deliver complex projects
  • Develop and deploy Business Intelligence solutions to measure performance, identify trends, and enable data-driven decisions across the spares supply chain ecosystem

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 4+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 6+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis OR equivalent experience
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
  • Required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
