Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Data Governance and AI Strategy Leader to build and execute the company’s data governance and compliance program across all business functions. This role will ensure the organization uses data ethically, securely, and efficiently to enable innovation in adtech and AI.

Job Responsibility

  • Design and implement the company’s data governance framework, defining policies for data ownership, access, retention, and quality management
  • Build a network of data stewards and champions across departments to enforce governance standards
  • Oversee metadata management, lineage tracking, and cataloging initiatives to improve transparency and trust in data assets
  • Partner with Legal and Security to align governance with regulatory obligations
  • Define internal compliance metrics and reporting dashboards for leadership and the board
  • Lead readiness efforts for audits, certifications, and internal risk reviews
  • Partner with Legal to understand data licensing restrictions and enforce contractual compliance and enablement
  • Develop the company’s Responsible AI program, including policies for training data governance, explainability, and bias mitigation
  • Work cross-functionally with engineers, data scientists, and legal teams to document model inputs, outputs, and accountability standards
  • Track and communicate regulatory and ethical trends in AI governance
  • Collaborate with Information Security to implement policies for secure data storage, transfer, and access
  • Oversee the alignment of data governance with security frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
  • Drive data literacy and governance culture across the company through training and communication
  • Partner with leadership to balance governance requirements with business agility and innovation goals

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in data governance, compliance, risk management, or AI policy — ideally in adtech, martech, or a data-driven SaaS company
  • Strong familiarity with privacy (and privacy laws), AI, and data protection frameworks
  • Experience operationalizing governance frameworks across data, analytics, and engineering environments
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership, program management, and communication skills
  • Technical literacy in data infrastructure, machine learning, and metadata management tools
