Job Description:

The Director of Data & AI is a leadership role focused on leveraging data, analytics and AI to drive business value, foster a data-driven culture, and ensure the effective governance and utilization of data assets and ecosystem across the organization. This includes the creation and management of data, analytics and Artificial Intelligence strategy and operating model. The Director of Data & AI is responsible for establishing, leading and operating the D&AI function; building trust and managing data; evolving technology capabilities and developing talent and D&AI culture. The Director of Data & AI leads multidisciplinary teams of data architects, data engineers and data scientists, and partner with business processes subject matter experts and business leaders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Defines data, analytics and AI strategy, including vision, drivers and outcomes
  • Institutes an operating model for data, analytics and AI
  • Builds partnerships with leadership to ensure that data is being managed as a business asset
  • Lead data-driven innovation for the enterprise
  • Maintains authority and accountability for the data assets, and of the analytics used for decision making, and AI solutions
  • Oversees delivery models, methods and practices for creation of data, analytics and AI products
  • Evolves technology capabilities for the D&AI platform
  • Establishes and maintains trust in AI-ready data assets by instituting governance mechanisms
  • Understands regulatory requirements, relevant data protection laws and regulations
  • Oversees the ethical and responsible use of data and algorithms used for artificial intelligence, analytics and automated decision making

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration
  • science technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)
  • computer science

  • information systems or related field
  • Experience in data management, business intelligence and analytics environments is required
  • Experience in software development, including an understanding of programming concepts and the logic flow of applications, is preferred
  • Experience with Cloud is preferred
  • Certifications in Data and AI are differentiators
  • Experience with SAP ERP (S/4Hana or ECC)
  • Experience with SAP Data Sphere (preferable), Data Bricks or Snowflake
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Product Management
  • Minimum Ten (10) years managing teams
  • Experience leading transformation programs in large organizations
  • Experience in manufacturing environments is a differentiator
