Job Description

A pre-IPO, full-stack quantum computing company backed by names like JPMorgan Chase, NVIDIA, Honeywell, and Airbus is hiring a Director of Consulting & Advisory Services to turn enterprise curiosity into real experimentation. This business combines best-in-class quantum software with high-performing trapped-ion hardware, and it’s scaling aggressively, including major expansion plans across the commercial team. You’ll sit between strategy consulting and technical commercialization, leading executive education, feasibility/scoping programs, and readiness offerings so that when organizations decide to invest seriously in quantum, this company is the default partner.

Job Responsibility

  • Build consulting and advisory pipeline through proactive C-level conversations across large enterprise targets, especially in finance, pharma, and chemicals/materials, then broaden over time
  • Lead board and C-suite education on why quantum matters, what it changes, and what doing something now looks like
  • Run working sessions with technical leaders, scientists, and R&D groups to identify and prioritize plausible early use cases
  • Design modular readiness programs that move customers from awareness to exploration to experimentation, then graduate accounts to the enterprise sales and solutions teams once they are quantum ready
  • Manage and develop a team of 2 consultants initially, with growth planned as the advisory business scales

Requirements

  • Proven ability to scope, sell, and deliver complex advisory programs where the product is a consultative engagement and the buyer needs education before committing
  • Executive presence, comfortable advising C-suite leaders and engaging technical stakeholders credibly
  • Depth with emerging technology
  • you don’t need to be a quantum scientist, but fully non-technical profiles tend to struggle
  • Deep vertical expertise in at least one of the three core target verticals (finance, pharma/life sciences, or chemicals/materials), with the credibility to advise senior stakeholders and translate industry problems into quantum-ready use cases
