Job Description:

The Director of Community Services oversees the agency’s SCO/One Care, Protective Services and Money Management programs via direct supervision of 3 Program Managers. The Director will track, analyze and utilize data to ensure compliance with standards and promote continuous quality improvement. The Director supports professional development of staff throughout the agency by designing and maintaining the initial and ongoing training programs. It’s essential for this Director to collaborate with agency leadership, particularly fellow Directors and the Chief Operating Officer, to model and advance the agency’s mission.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversees the agency’s SCO/One Care, Protective Services and Money Management programs via direct supervision of 3 Program Managers

  • Supports professional development of staff throughout the agency by designing and maintaining the initial and ongoing training programs

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Management, Public Health or related field preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree with three years’ experience may be substituted for Master’s degree
  • Three years’ experience as a Supervisor or Program Manager, preferably in a clinical setting
  • Familiarity with community services for elders and the Massachusetts aging network preferred
  • Commitment to quality, community-based, consumer-directed care
  • Demonstrated planning, program development and management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and the ability to work in a team based organization
  • Demonstrated flexibility and creative problem solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal, written and computer skills
