Job Description:

The hired candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our India subsidiary, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and alignment with the company's strategic objectives. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals and collaborate closely with stakeholders across various departments to drive business growth and success and serve as ACTs liaison towards local forums and external stakeholders in India.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as a designated partner of the LLP, representing the company towards all external stakeholders in India, including local industry forums, government agencies, vendors and regulatory bodies
  • Serve as a key advocate and ambassador for the India team and collaborate with global leadership to identify opportunities for expanding and enhancing the scope of operations from India
  • Develop and execute the growth roadmap for CKBCI, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to develop the business cases, proposals, and strategies for scaling operations and driving value-added initiatives from CKBCI
  • Regularly review and refine the growth roadmap in response to evolving market dynamics, customer needs, and internal capabilities, adjusting priorities and resource allocations as needed to maximize value and impact
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Finance, Accounts, HR, Facility Management, and onsite IT teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement
  • Project management across functional areas (HR, Tech, Ops, and Finance) in the CKCBI including implementation of new systems and business processes
  • Facilitate growth and success of CKBCI with robust planning and enforce discipline within the team to follow the plan
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of Circle K Business Centre India offices
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and ethical standards, maintaining high levels of integrity and accountability
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial management activities, monitoring expenditures and resource allocation to support organizational goals
  • Serve as a signatory for the closure of financial books and audits, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and integrity in financial statements and disclosures
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies, to facilitate timely audits, resolve discrepancies, and address any financial concerns or inquiries
  • Champion employee development and engagement initiatives, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment conducive to professional growth and career advancement
  • Oversee and implement processes to ensure seamless operations of CKBCI with high levels of integrity
  • Act as a liaison between the India subsidiary and global and regional teams, facilitating effective communication, collaboration, and alignment on key initiatives and priorities
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights, recommendations, and strategic guidance on operational matters and business performance
  • Nurture ecosystem partnerships with the stakeholders to deliver business outcomes

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align HR strategies and initiatives with business objectives, ensuring that talent management practices support the achievement of organizational goals and priorities and are aligned with local practices to create and maintain a compelling employee value proposition
  • Monitor industry trends, best practices, and benchmarks related to employee engagement and EVP, identifying opportunities for differentiation and innovation in talent attraction and retention
  • Attract, retain, and mentor team members providing guidance and support to help them reach their full potential
  • Foster a culture of intellectual innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning and improvement within the teams
  • Devise customized learning plan for the team to adopt new skills and meet organizational vision, leadership, performance, etc.
  • Implement effective governance, risk and change management frameworks to drive holistic business performance
  • Ensure proactive mitigation strategies and actions to address key business risks
  • Record and report any agreed metrics to monitor the overall performance of the team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, Finance or related disciplines
  • Masters is preferred
  • Proven track record of 12 + years of experience with at least 6+ years managing large teams, spanning diverse functions
  • Experience in a global organization preferred
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and executing operational strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives
  • Sound judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions and driving continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and developing high-performing teams, with a focus on fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and inclusivity
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and resource management, with expertise in driving operational excellence and delivering results
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, managing competing priorities and driving results under pressure
  • Knowledge of local labor laws, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices related to operations management in India
