Job Description

To support Commercial Director in achieving overall business objective and formulation of strategies in ensuring business attainment. Managing Catering team (including Catering sales, conference service and wedding team) and overseeing daily sales operation. Review sales production and implement sales action plan to achieve budgeted goals. To ensure that all local and corporate policies and procedures are observed, and to supervise the day-to-day operation of the Catering team.

Job Responsibility

  • Support Commercial Director in achieving overall business objective and formulation of strategies
  • Managing Catering team (including Catering sales, conference service and wedding team) and overseeing daily sales operation
  • Review sales production and implement sales action plan to achieve budgeted goals
  • Ensure that all local and corporate policies and procedures are observed
  • Supervise the day-to-day operation of the Catering team
  • Maintain harmonious and professional relationship with all departments and Home Office
  • Comply with and enforce Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct
  • Plan, organize, lead and control different projects and activities within the catering team
  • Identify coaching moments and ensure opportunities of learning and development for the sales team
  • Establish a rapport with the catering team and sales team other divisions within the hotel
  • Great understanding of Self-Esteem and Self-Actualization of Team and ensure proper support and help is provided
  • Hold monthly department meetings with catering team to ensure communication and address any issues
  • Participate in and develop staff training programs and development plans
  • Supervise, train and motivate department staff
  • Meet with Commercial Director on a weekly basis to communicate all sales activities and results
  • Actively network within the community to attract potential candidates for recruitment purposes
  • Prepare reviews and development plans and take appropriate personnel-related action
  • Conduct self in a professional manner at all times
  • Assist in other areas of the department as needed
  • Ensure to follow all P&C rules and regulation
  • Manage team’s overtime and annual leaves

Requirements

  • University degree
  • From five years of experience in the related position with Four Seasons or other similar organization
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal in both Japanese & English
  • Have a global working perspective
  • Have the ability to supervise the day-to-day duties of the catering team
  • Applicants must have the right to work in Japan or be eligible for Japan work permit
