Job Description:

The city of Cambridge is seeking a Director of Camp Rainbow who will oversee the administration, management, and supervision of a comprehensive summer camp program serving children ages six to 21 with disabilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the administration, management, and supervision of a comprehensive summer camp program serving children ages six to 21 with disabilities
  • Manage all aspects of seasonal staff recruitment and hiring
  • Work closely with the Assistant Director regarding the planning, marketing, promotion, and scheduling of Camp Rainbow
  • Weekly meetings with Activities Coordinator
  • Provide supervision and leadership to Head Teachers and camp counselors
  • Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years’ experience supervising, administering, and leading out-of school time or special education programming with participants ages six to 21 preferred
  • Two or more years of experience adapting and implementing programs to meet the needs of students on IEP, 504, or other behavioral plans
