Beacon Hill’s client, a highly regarded firm, is seeking a Director of Business Development to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This individual will play a key role in driving strategic growth initiatives, supporting attorneys, and elevating the firm’s market presence.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with practice groups to develop, execute, and track strategic business development initiatives
Serve as a trusted advisor to attorneys, guiding the creation and implementation of individual business development plans
Lead the development and management of client pitches and proposals, including gathering relevant experience, conducting research, drafting compelling content, and securing internal approvals
Maintain and manage the firm’s representative experience library
Conduct ongoing client, prospect, and industry research, including competitive intelligence and analysis of market trends to support growth efforts
Prepare research and tailored marketing materials for prospective client meetings
Collaborate with the Marketing Communications Coordinator to develop targeted marketing collateral aligned with business development opportunities
Evaluate and recommend high-impact business events and professional organizations to maximize attorney engagement and visibility
Identify and secure speaking opportunities for attorneys by monitoring industry events, trade publications, and professional organizations
Manage the firm’s annual calendar for legal rankings, recognitions, and award submissions, including drafting and coordinating submissions
Partner with external vendors to design and implement training initiatives that enhance attorneys’ business development skills and client relationship strategies
Requirements:
Proven experience in business development within a law firm or professional services environment
Strong writing, research, and analytical skills, with experience developing pitches and proposals
Ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders, including attorneys and firm leadership
Demonstrated success managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail and execution capabilities
