We are seeking a strategic, execution‑oriented Director of Business Development to drive new distribution strategies and lead strategic initiatives that scale Microsoft Copilot across partner ecosystems. This role focuses on building high‑impact partnerships with consumer apps, publishers, platforms, and web properties to increase engagement, drive monetization, and create clear value back to Copilot. This role requires strong cross‑functional leadership to drive alignment Product Management, Engineering, Legal, Marketing, Platform, and Sales to deliver partnerships at pace and scale.
Job Responsibility:
Create Strategy & Vision - Define and evolve distribution strategies for consumer Copilot, prioritizing verticals, partner archetypes, product offerings, and pipeline development
Define Commercial Models - Design partner frameworks and incentives that balance partner value with Microsoft’s strategic objectives
Drive Partnership Development - Identify, qualify, and secure strategic partnerships with large partners aligned to approved strategies
Manage Strategic Partners - Lead end‑to‑end partner engagement from deal closure through launch, quarterly business reviews, and ongoing continuous improvements
Market & Competitive Insights - Leverage partner feedback and public market intelligence to sharpen Copilot’s differentiation, inform strategic positioning, and guide future distribution initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Liberal Arts, Sciences, or related field AND 10+ years relevant work experience (e.g., investment banking, consulting, finance, marketing, corporate strategy, sales, venture capital, legal, business development, product management, project management, software development, or related field)
