Position Summary: Our client is seeking a Business Development Executive (individual contributor) with a proven track record of driving new revenue within the marketing technology ecosystem. This ideal candidate brings direct experience selling and partnering within marketing automation and data platforms such as Braze, Movable Ink, Snowflake and/or SalesForce. This individual will own pipeline creation and revenue generation, with a heavy focus on building strategic partnerships with top Martech platforms to generate new business with Fortune 1000 clients. Success in this role requires familiarity with the Martech landscape, established industry relationships, and the ability to independently source, develop, and help close opportunities. NOTE: Direct business development experience in marketing technology and/or related is a requirement for qualified candidates.
Job Responsibility:
Prospecting and Pipeline Development: Develop, manage, and advance a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities across the full business development lifecycle
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target verticals
Conduct structured research on prospective organizations
Establish and maintain relationships with senior decision makers, influencers, and operational leaders
Lead discovery conversations
Prepare and deliver clear presentations, proposals, and statements of work
Maintain accurate documentation within Salesforce CRM
MarTech Partner Development Support: Support discovery and definition of partner motions for emerging technology/data platform partners
Collaborate with partner teams to uncover co-selling opportunities
Contribute to definition and execution of partnership strategies
Represent the client in partner-facing meetings
Go to Market Collaboration: Support the strategic growth team by contributing to prospect-facing materials
Collaborate with marketing leadership on campaigns and events
Provide market and prospect feedback to internal teams
Participate in continuous improvement of business development processes
7+ years of experience successfully closing strategic services-based deals for a digital agency, systems integrator, or consultancy
Outstanding listening skills, candidate must be able to listen for client challenges and develop insights into winning strategies
A self-starter with a high attention to detail and an ability to manage and execute many priorities simultaneously
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills—candidate must be able to craft persuasive and polished proposal copy and written communications with a keen eye for details
Must be authentic, disciplined, and persuasive, and comfortable presenting to an executive-level audience in marketing and technology
Have a sense of urgency with strong organizational and follow-up skills
Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas
Highly proficient in MS PowerPoint and the Office suite
Experience with sales platforms such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Apollo.io
