The Supplemental Benefits and Directed Spend team at CVS Health is one of the fastest-growing business units in the enterprise, positioned at the intersection of retail and healthcare. We are seeking a results-driven, financially savvy, and intellectually curious Director of Business Analytics to lead and scale our analytics and performance measurement capabilities.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the analytics and reporting function for Supplemental Benefits, connecting data insights to business strategy and financial outcomes
Develop and manage robust financial models to evaluate program performance, benefit utilization, ROI, cost drivers, and long-range planning
Establish and evolve KPIs, dashboards, and performance scorecards to track business health, identify trends, and surface growth opportunities
Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure analytics informs key decisions across product design, benefit operations, and partner strategy
Implement process improvements that enhance data quality, streamline reporting, and scale analytics capabilities with discipline and consistency
Deliver clear, executive-ready insights that synthesize data, trends, and financial impacts into actionable business recommendations
Lead and mentor a high-performing analytics team, fostering a culture of curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement
Act as an internal catalyst for innovation, using data to challenge assumptions, unlock whitespace opportunities, and guide new initiatives
Ensure strong data governance practices and standardization across systems and reporting workflows
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in business analytics, corporate strategy, finance, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role
Demonstrated ability to connect analytics to financial levers and business performance
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and ROI analysis
Strong working knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Excel, Python, or R)
Track record of building scalable processes, reporting systems, and data governance frameworks
Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with experience influencing executive stakeholders
Deep intellectual curiosity and a growth mindset, with a proven ability to surface insights that lead to new products, process improvements, or market opportunities
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or a related field
Nice to have:
MBA or advanced degree in a business or quantitative discipline
