The Director of Banquets leads and oversees all banquet operations, ensuring seamless execution of events such as weddings, conferences, and special functions. This role drives exceptional service standards, operational efficiency, and memorable guest experiences aligned with luxury hospitality expectations.
Job Responsibility
Lead all aspects of banquet team management, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance evaluation while fostering a strong service culture and developing future leaders
Oversee financial performance by managing labor, budgets, inventory, purchasing, and cost controls to ensure operational efficiency and fiscal responsibility
Direct all banquet operations for meetings, conferences, weddings, and events, ensuring seamless execution through collaboration with culinary, catering, and event teams
Maintain a visible leadership presence, build strong guest relationships, and resolve concerns promptly to ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction
Ensure adherence to service standards, policies, and quality benchmarks, implementing improvements based on operational feedback and performance metrics
Communicate effectively across teams and departments to coordinate operations, support event execution, and maintain a high standard of service and presentation
Requirements
Legal work authorization in United States is required
Hospitality business functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need
Holidays and weekends availability is required
Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card
Maui Liquor Card and Hawaii Food Handler Card is required
Hawaii Driver's Abstract is required
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
