Director of Architecture and Data Management

• Identify and drive impact across BHF through effective leadership across Architecture, including Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture
• Lead and collaborate to deliver the overarching Technical Vision for BHF’s Architecture
• Enable the full team to effectively govern the architecture within their respective domains
• Oversee the Architecture chapter from an overarching perspective
• Ensure the wider technology portfolios have the right capabilities and that there is strong community for the capabilities to support, develop skills and collaborate
• Govern and set standards, enabling all teams to deliver against BHF’s priorities in a structured, cohesive and supported manner through effective controls across technical design authority forums
• Develop and implement Data Architecture strategy, including data modelling, integration patterns and platform design
• Oversee Knowledge management, including central repositories for Architecture and Data Management, comprising of as-is configuration, transitional states and designs for future technologies, as well as a central repository for coding frameworks and standards

• Extensive experience working in a senior data engineering and/or architecture (EA or SA) role
• Broad experience in team leadership and competency development
• Broad experience in all aspects of architecture covering data, security, applications and infrastructure
• Experience in designing, developing, and supporting technology solutions
• Experience in managing and working with virtual, international and matrixed teams, as well as 3rd parties
• Stakeholder management and communicating with stakeholders up to a C-suite level
• Defining and implementing architectural standards and best practice
• Leading significant applications and integration change initiatives
• Deep understanding of enterprise and solution architecture frameworks
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms
• Knowledge of data architecture, integration patterns, and API management
• Awareness of cybersecurity principles and regulatory compliance
• Collaborative and inclusive leadership style, comfortable working across large hybrid teams
• Strong sense of accountability and integrity
• Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
