Job Description

As a Director of Analytics, you will lead data strategy, analysis, measurement, and optimization, shaping how data informs brand, creative, and media decisions to drive measurable impact for mission-driven clients. In this role, you will partner cross-functionally with Brand Leadership, Strategy, Creative, and Media teams to deliver integrated, insight-driven solutions that strengthen audience understanding, elevate campaign performance, and clearly demonstrate outcomes to clients and stakeholders. You will operate with both strategic leadership and hands-on execution, serving as a player and a coach to the team while helping embed analytics into the full life cycle of agency work.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead senior client relationships and serve as a strategic advisor to executive stakeholders
  • Shape and evolve the agency’s analytics vision, offerings, and thought leadership
  • Support new business efforts through data-driven storytelling, measurement strategy, and analytics POVs
  • Build and evolve measurement frameworks that connect marketing, digital, and offline activity to mission outcomes
  • Deliver reporting and actionable insights to internal teams and external partners to inform optimization and decision-making
  • Translate complex data into clear narratives that support leadership decision-making
  • Develop and refine attribution approaches to guide investment decisions and improve performance across channels
  • Lead digital experimentation strategy across campaigns, personalization, and audience segmentation, guiding a test-and-learn culture
  • Monitor trends and emerging capabilities to identify opportunities for growth and innovation
  • Oversee analytics implementation, including event taxonomy, tagging, instrumentation, and quality assurance across platforms
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and scalability
  • Define and implement frameworks to measure and optimize communications effectiveness
  • Lead organizational transformation through new tools, improved processes, and adoption of data-driven practices
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing analytics team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Requirements

  • 8-12+ years of Director-level experience, or 12-15+ years of Senior Director-level experience in data & analytics
  • Experience working with or supporting nonprofit or mission-driven organizations, including defining measurement frameworks that capture impact beyond revenue, such as engagement, behavior change, and community outcomes
  • Proven experience leading measurement strategy across marketing and digital ecosystems
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to connect data to storytelling and clearly articulate impact
  • Experience with web analytics solutions (Adobe Analytics, Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, Google Analytics, or similar)
  • Experience or deep knowledge of tag management systems (Tealium iQ, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Tags, or similar)
  • Experience with personalization solutions (Adobe Target, Salesforce Personalization, Monetate, or similar)
  • Experience with customer data platform solutions (Adobe Experience Platform, Tealium AudienceStream, Salesforce Data Cloud, Treasure Data, or similar)
  • Certification as an Adobe Certified Expert or Master is a big plus
