Job Description

The Director of Alliances is key to Horizontal Digital’s growth plans. We’re looking for candidates with a strong network in the DXP ecosystem who can use those connections to build and execute mutual success plans. This data-driven role requires detailed tracking of our day-to-day relationship as well as strategic input on our joint go-to-market efforts. The person will coordinate bi-directional information sharing and data tracking across marketing, sales and delivery organizations at both Horizontal and our partners.

Job Responsibility

  • Independently manage and grow practice revenue with specific Horizontal partners
  • Work with the Head of Growth to develop and execute strategic alliance plans aligning with current market needs and the future growth of Horizontal Digital
  • Support the strategic objectives and interests of Horizontal and multiple partners to further these objectives through partnership
  • Demonstrate knowledge of partner’s strategy, go-to-market (GTM) propositions, markets, business challenges and customer opportunities
  • Leverage and grow an existing network of partner contacts to amplify Horizontal’s capabilities, securing, coordinating and attending meetings with executives, key leaders, sellers and other resources within Horizontal’s partner ecosystem
  • Develop and maintain broad and deep external relations with partner managers, partner marketing managers, and sales team members
  • Manage tracking of and reporting on the metrics on which our alliance is measured, including opportunities & associated ACV

  • Play an influential leading role in business development activities with Horizontal’s partners, including but not limited to identifying joint rights to within sales pursuits, collaborating in joint marketing initiatives, uncovering new opportunities and ensuring that Horizontal’s brand positioning with the partner is strong
  • Serve as a partner advocate inside the partners to generate leads from partner sales reps
  • Identify new partnership opportunities that have high potential to drive new leads to Horizontal

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience selling into enterprise market or building alliance relationships
  • Digital consulting experience (preferably in the DXP or Commerce space)
  • Tenured experience building and managing complex, revenue-generating relationships
  • Experience working at a startup or Digital Agency
  • Business development experience in a consulting or channel environment
  • A broad understanding of the digital ecosystem and how Horizontal can leverage best-in-class solutions to grow the business across partners

Nice to have

  • Strong (present) relationships with Alliance Managers, AEs and VPs with some or all of Horizontal’s partners, including: Sitecore, Contentstack, Optimizely, Shopify, Bynder, Aprimo, Coveo, Algolia, and Vercel
  • Ability to collaborate across the firm and across diverse alliance relationships
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage and execute many priorities simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel as needed if appropriate
