Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Administration to lead a high-volume claims administration function. This is a key leadership opportunity for an operations-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment and is passionate about building efficient processes, developing teams, and improving performance. In this role, you will oversee a team of approximately 18 administrative professionals and drive the successful execution of claims processing, insurance follow-up, workflow optimization, and cross-functional coordination. Job Responsibility

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of administrative professionals supporting claims operations
  • Oversee end-to-end claims processing for construction and remediation projects
  • Ensure claim documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted on time
  • Manage insurance follow-up, including status tracking, escalations, and resolution
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
  • Partner with project managers, field teams, and finance to align on documentation and claim status
  • Develop and track KPIs, reporting, backlog metrics, claim cycle times, and recovery performance
  • Strengthen systems, filing processes, and reporting tools to support scalability and audit readiness

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in claims administration, insurance operations, or construction project support
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience
  • Proven success leading teams in high-volume, deadline-driven environments
  • Strong understanding of claims processing and insurance follow-up
  • Experience improving workflows and operational processes
  • Ability to manage complex coordination across multiple stakeholders
  • Proficiency with CRM, ERP, or claims management systems
  • Construction or remediation industry experience is strongly preferred
