Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Director of Accounting to lead and oversee financial operations at our Miami, Florida office. This role requires an experienced and detail-oriented individual with expertise in financial reporting, audits, and accounting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance across all financial activities. Job Responsibility:

Manage and supervise a team of accounting professionals to ensure efficient department operations
Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements
Utilize BlackLine software to streamline and enhance reconciliation processes
Lead financial statement audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and requirements
Prepare and review financial reports to provide clear insights into organizational performance
Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure adherence to best practices
Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting and financial planning initiatives
Provide strategic guidance on accounting matters to support organizational goals
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting regulations and standards.

Requirements:

CPA certification is required to demonstrate expertise in accounting practices
Proven experience in managing month-end close processes with a strong attention to detail
Proficiency in using BlackLine software for reconciliation and accounting workflows
Extensive knowledge of financial statement audits and regulatory compliance
Strong background in preparing and analyzing financial reports
Leadership experience managing accounting teams and driving operational efficiency
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Ability to adapt to changing financial environments and implement effective solutions.
