Director of Accounting

• Oversee all accounting operations and establish strong internal controls and accounting policies
• Lead, mentor, and manage accounting personnel, including the Controller and Staff Accountants
• Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Analyze financial results and provide insights to support decision-making by firm leadership
• Manage treasury and cash flow functions, including liquidity planning and banking relationships
• Supervise payroll processes and related controls while ensuring compliance with firm policies
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to manage audits and tax compliance
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, processes, and reporting efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational effectiveness and financial strategies
• Partner with firm leadership on strategic financial initiatives and business improvements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a law firm or detail-oriented services environment
• Proven leadership experience in managing and developing accounting teams
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, monthly close processes, treasury, payroll, and internal controls
• In-depth knowledge of partnership accounting and regulatory compliance
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining integrity
