Job Description

This leadership role is integral to overseeing the financial operations and reporting for our commercial real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting, team management, and process improvement to support our organization's continued growth.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and oversee all accounting operations for a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Lead and develop the accounting team through effective mentorship, performance evaluations, and workload management
  • Establish and refine accounting policies and procedures to align with business goals and industry standards
  • Prepare detailed financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, while coordinating audit processes and ensuring compliance
  • Collaborate with property management, asset management, and executive teams to deliver financial insights and support strategic decision-making
  • Supervise day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations
  • Administer and optimize the Yardi system, ensuring data accuracy and operational efficiency
  • Drive initiatives to enhance accounting processes and scalability in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with a focus on commercial real estate
  • Proven expertise in month-end close processes and preparing financial statements
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and audit procedures
  • Experience with Yardi systems and their administration
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team
  • Proficiency in managing general ledger operations and overseeing budgeting processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to support strategic decisions
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating across departments and presenting financial insights
