Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced healthcare finance specialist to lead and oversee the accounting operations of our organization. This role is ideal for a skilled leader with a strong background in financial management and supervisory experience who thrives in a dynamic environment. The Director of Accounting / Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with industry standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and manage the month-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Implement and monitor accounting processes using tools such as BlackLine, Workday ERP, and Workday Financial Management
  • Coordinate and support financial audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all reporting
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering growth and maintaining high performance
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare industry financial regulations and standards
  • Analyze financial data to provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance operational efficiency and financial decision-making
  • Manage and optimize payroll processes using systems like UKG Pro
  • Drive improvements in financial reporting systems and processes to align with organizational goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting roles, including leadership positions
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience managing accounting teams
  • Proven expertise in month-end close processes and financial audits
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry financial standards and reporting
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software like Workday ERP, Workday Financial Management, and BlackLine
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to provide actionable financial insights
