Job Responsibility:

  • To provide leadership and accountability in the strategic and daily operations of the clinical service.
  • Developing and maintains excellent physician and associate relations, accountable for the quality of patient care provided by the nursing service.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating all functions of the service to include quality, administrative, and financial outcomes.
  • Oversees the delivery of patient care and has the responsibility for establishing standards of nursing practice for the service and the nursing professional practice as a whole.
  • Assure achievement of department, nursing division and hospital goals as well as adherence to hospital policies and standards set forth by accreditation and regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Nursing (BSN or MSN).
  • Master's degree required. Must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
  • 4 years progressive clinical leadership experience required. Experience in acute care preferred.
  • RN license to practice in state of employment as applicable.
  • Nursing Specialty Certification required to sit within 6 months
  • Must achieve within 1 year of hire or transfer to the role.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support required.
  • Physical Requirements - Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. constantly
