Job Description:

Are you motivated by leading people, driving complex projects, and taking ownership of major investments? And do you thrive at the intersection of operations, development, and strategy? Then this role might be for you. Director, Network Development & Operations (NDO) Help shape the future of mobility and our station network Your new team At Circle K, we are more than just a stop along the way; we keep Denmark moving and take responsibility for our contribution to the green transition. Our stations play a vital role in this effort, and in this position, you will hold the overall responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and development of our station network across Denmark. Being responsible for the station network, means that you will be part of a team that helps shape the future of mobility and develops our network for the benefit of both our business and the society. In addition, you will be responsible for leading a team of seven employees, several of whom work remotely. Our network is at the core of the business, and we are looking for a Director who can ensure stable operations today, while developing the stations of tomorrow, with a strong focus on EV and modern retail concepts. You will report to our Head of NDO Europe, be part of the European NDO leadership team, and work closely with the Danish leadership team. Leadership, operations, and development The Director role spans a broad scope – from reactive and preventive maintenance and environmental matters to new construction projects, refurbishments, and large‑scale investment projects. While leading your team, you ensure stable operations, drive major projects and investments, and actively contribute to strategic decisions as part of the leadership team. You are also responsible for budgets, suppliers, and cross‑functional collaboration across the organisation, always with a strong focus on sustainability, HSE, and future mobility. Key areas of responsibility Lead and develop the team, ensuring performance and delivery on objectives Overall maintenance and budget responsibility (OPEX and CAPEX), including annual budgeting and reporting to INGO and Circle K Maintenance responsibility for both brands Responsibility for a significant OPEX maintenance budget Delivery of capital investment projects Drive large projects and modernisation of the station network, including EV infrastructure Ensure stable and reliable operations across the entire network Strategic supplier management and collaboration across the organisation The person behind the title We are looking for an experienced leader with a solid technical and financial understanding, who can navigate complex projects and take responsibility across the organisation. You are not a hands‑on specialist, but a strong project leader who creates structure, momentum, effective collaboration, and results across a wide and diverse portfolio. As Director, you are a confident member of a leadership team where your input is valued and actively used. You understand the connection between operations, investments, and strategy, and anticipates what comes next, enabling you to make sound decisions with confidence, based on what is best for the business at any given time. You thrive with variation and can maintain a strong overview, while prioritising financial discipline, structure, and progress. You will have access to sparring from both technical specialists within the team and the former Director, Peter Nicholsen Christensen, but the ability to independently drive initiatives and make decisions is essential. We celebrate success together At Circle K, we invest in both technology and stations to continue setting the standard for modern retail and a robust EV network. In the short term, you will create clarity, ensure strong governance of operations and finances, and build strong relationships across the organisation. In the longer term, you will develop the network, optimise processes, and deliver major investments, including new construction projects, modernisations, and EV infrastructure. In other words, you will work both on maintaining today's stations and shaping the stations of the future. 5 Days Together – because we believe in presence and community At Circle K, we believe the best energy is created when we are together. We work from the office five days a week, combining flexibility with presence and collaboration. You will be based alongside around 200 talented colleagues in our newly renovated Copenhagen office, offering a canteen, fitness facilities, and flexible work zones that support concentration, creativity, and strong collaboration. In your daily work, you will meet both experienced colleagues who have been with us for many years and colleagues who are early in their careers. We are proud of our average tenure of 12.5 years, reflecting our strong focus on internal development and continuous learning. As a global organisation, we also offer many exciting career opportunities, both locally and internationally, making it possible to shape a long‑term career path with us.
