Job Description

Director, Marketing - Project Farma at PerkinElmer. Project Farma's purpose is to improve patient lives by accelerating the delivery of life-changing therapies. This role contributes to organizational success by supporting financial performance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement, while also investing in people through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and professional development. The Marketing Director is a senior leader responsible for setting direction, driving execution, and delivering results across a function, portfolio, or business segment.

Job Responsibility

  • Develops customer-centric communication strategies and collaborates with cross-functional teams for tactical planning across digital channels (social media, CRM, websites, email) to enhance client engagement and drive sales
  • Gains insights from business development, HR, and executive stakeholders to design marketing strategies, brand campaigns, and partnerships, aligning with corporate objectives and boosting brand recognition and customer acquisition
  • Executes metric-driven sales-enablement activities, including personalized account-based marketing (ABM) and inbound marketing strategies
  • Curates blog articles, social media campaigns, eBooks, and SEO/SEM tactics to support the Company's value proposition and enable business growth
  • Manages relationships with editorial partners, PR/media contacts, and contract writers to support thought leadership amplification and earned media coverage
  • Collaborates with key SMEs to develop and showcase marketing collateral including scientific publications, white papers, case studies, and more
  • Provides regular quarterly metrics management and reporting on performance, accompanied by actionable recommendations for optimizing marketing activities and improving outcomes
  • Conducts market research exercises to identify new product/service opportunities, developing strategic plans to capitalize on them and ensure continued organizational growth
  • Drives collaboration among executive leadership, inside sales/business development, for coordinated outreach efforts and effective follow-up
  • Collaborates with human resources to organize and execute corporate events in alignment with themes and organizational priorities to optimize employee engagement
  • Manages the annual marketing budget, prioritizing activities that drive substantial growth and maximize return on investment (ROI) for the organization
  • Oversees conference and industry event marketing, including pre-event planning, on-site execution, lead capture, and post-event follow-up in coordination with Client Engagement and business development teams
  • Mentor's direct reports by driving high personal and professional performance and a strong team culture
  • Develops ideal customer profiles (ICPs) and customer journeys to ensure that marketing approaches are appropriate and increase success rates

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of marketing leadership, preferably in the life science industry with demonstrated high level of independent performance
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate strategic vision and analysis into executable solutions
  • Willing and enthusiastic to travel to support key conferences, strategic planning sessions, and professional development events
  • Comfortable interacting with executive leaders and stakeholders within the organization and presenting to internal and external audiences
  • Coaching and mentor-like mindset with previous experience managing direct reports
  • Self-motivated, resourceful leader with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple streams of on-going work successfully
  • Strong problem solving, analytical reasoning, decision-making skills, ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with acute attention to detail and quality
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and CRM tools like LinkedIn, HubSpot, and Salesforce
