Job Description

The Director of Product Management & New Product Development is responsible for leading the end-to-end product lifecycle—from ideation and launch of new products to the optimization and growth of an established product portfolio. This role serves as a critical connector across the organization, translating business strategy into product execution while effectively communicating both upward to executive leadership and downward to product teams, as well as laterally across Sales, Marketing, Communications, Technology, Operations, Finance, and Customer Experience. The ideal candidate brings strong business judgment, deep technology product experience, and a commercial mindset rooted in sales or marketing, with the ability to balance innovation, customer value, and financial performance.

Job Responsibility

  • Align product strategy with corporate objectives, market opportunities, and customer needs
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and manage the product portfolio to maximize growth, profitability, and customer value
  • Lead new product ideation, business case development, and go-to-market planning
  • Partner with Technology, UX, and Architecture teams to translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality solutions
  • Oversee stage-gate or agile development processes, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Drive market validation, pilot programs, and post-launch performance reviews
  • Own ongoing client-facing product performance, including adoption, revenue, margin, customer satisfaction, and lifecycle optimization
  • Identify enhancement opportunities based on customer feedback, market trends, and performance analytics
  • Drive growth initiative planning and deployment
  • Manage product sunsetting, migration, and modernization strategies as needed
  • Serve as the primary product leader interfacing with Sales, Marketing, Communications, Technology, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Customer Support
  • Communicate product strategy, priorities, and performance clearly to executive leadership and key stakeholders
  • Enable Sales, Marketing, and Communications teams with clear value propositions, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning
  • Influence without authority and drive alignment across diverse teams and perspectives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop product managers and product leaders
  • Establish product management best practices, governance, and decision frameworks
  • Foster a customer-centric, data-driven, and outcome-oriented product culture

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive business experience, with a strong preference for backgrounds in Sales, Marketing, or Commercial Strategy
  • Demonstrated experience managing technology-based products across their full lifecycle
  • Demonstrated experience in Digital Marketing discipline and initiative development
  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Bachelors preferred
  • Minimum 10 years experience
