We are looking for a strategic financial reporting leader to oversee the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of the company’s financial results in New York, New York. This position plays a central role in supporting executives, investors, and audit partners with clear, reliable reporting while strengthening the accounting organization. Job Responsibility

  • Direct the preparation and delivery of internal and external financial reports, ensuring information is complete, accurate, and provided on schedule
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals, creating a high-performance environment focused on accountability and growth
  • Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and close-related activities to maintain strong financial controls and reporting integrity
  • Oversee the structure of financial systems access and role assignments to support appropriate governance and operational efficiency
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to manage reporting-related system integrations, interfaces, and process improvements
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to senior leadership and key stakeholders to support decision-making and business planning
  • Coordinate closely with external auditors and other third parties to facilitate efficient audits and reporting reviews
  • Contribute to major finance initiatives such as capital raising support, organizational change, M&A readiness, and broader accounting transformation efforts

Requirements

  • Active CPA license is required
  • 5–7 years of experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a blend of both, with strong preference for Big 4 training
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supervising accounting staff
  • Solid background in financial reporting, month-end close, financial statement preparation, and year-end audit support
  • Familiarity with general ledger operations, control reviews, and accounting systems such as NetSuite
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present effectively to leadership, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work through complex challenges, and maintain high ethical standards

Nice to have

Additional strength in data analysis, visualization tools, scripting, or advanced certifications is a plus
