Job Description:

This role is responsible to ensure the scalable, secure, and efficient IT infrastructure in Greater China with focus on following pillar but not limited to: Cloud Management, Cloud Network & Security, DevOps. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based IT infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance as well as managing DevOps principles and practices. This role will be reporting into VP of EA and Engineering for Greater China.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and execute the organization’s cloud & network infrastructure, DevOps roadmap in line with continent(Great China) tech strategy and global standard
  • Align infrastructure initiatives with business goals, emphasizing cost optimization and agility
  • Ensure adherence to IT policies, standards, and regulations related to cloud and network management
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in cloud infrastructure and DevOps processes
  • Oversee cloud operations (Alicloud, AWS, Azure) including migration, resource allocation, and cost management
  • Design resilient, scalable cloud architectures for SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS environments
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans in the cloud environment
  • Monitor and analyze cloud performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost optimization
  • Optimize cloud network performance (VPCs, VPNs, CDNs) and troubleshoot connectivity
  • Implement security frameworks (Zero Trust, encryption) and ensure compliance (CBDT, GDPR, etc.)
  • Following global DevOps practice and process, drive the adoption of DevOps principles and practices across the organization, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), and manage the respective capabilities and processes
  • Promote DevOps culture, integrating monitoring tools (eg. Prometheus, ELK Stack) for system reliability
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and operation of cloud services
  • Plan and implement DevSecOps for the long term
  • Manage infrastructure budgets and negotiate contracts with cloud vendors
  • Mentor cloud engineers, network specialists, and DevOps teams
  • Foster cross-departmental collaboration with software development and security teams
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in cloud technology and DevOps tools
  • Participate as a domain leader on continent, task forces and working groups assigned by VP, EA and Engineering, Greater China, ensuring Greater China interests are covered
  • Collaborate with technology partners sourcing local technologies within region
  • Support continent initiatives from other disciplines from Digital and Technology team
  • Act as infrastructure advisor for continent disciplines and business enabling solutions as require

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • Master’s preferred
  • 10+ years in IT infrastructure, with 5+ years in leadership
  • Proven expertise in cloud platforms (Alicloud/AWS/Azure), ACK/EKS/AKS and DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with WAN technologies (future-focused such as SD-WAN)
  • Experience in multi-cloud management
  • Be familiar with Agile methodology, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, etc.), networking (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP)
  • Be familiar with security standards (ISO 27001, NIST) and monitoring tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
