Job Description:

The Director, Investor Relations is a senior-level contributor responsible for advancing Global Payments’ investor engagement strategy, with a newly expanded focus on investor targeting and strategic outreach. This role will lead efforts to identify, prioritize, and cultivate relationships with high-value institutional investors across the buy and sell side, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term shareholder strategy. The Director will coordinate executive-level meetings—including with the CEO and C-suite—and deliver tailored messaging that reflects Global Payments’ strategic priorities, financial performance, and market positioning. This role will also contribute to earnings preparation, investor events, and board-level reporting, serving as a key liaison between the investment community and senior leadership.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead investor targeting strategy to identify and prioritize high-value institutional investors
  • Coordinate outreach and engagement plans, including meetings with the CEO, CFO, and other senior executives
  • Maintain investor profiles and tracking systems to support proactive relationship management
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for buy-side and sell-side analysts and investors
  • Deliver consistent, transparent messaging aligned with earnings materials and strategic priorities
  • Monitor investor sentiment and feedback to inform messaging and engagement strategy
  • Support preparation of earnings scripts, investor FAQs, and board updates
  • Coordinate executive participation in investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years in investor relations, equity research, investment management or strategic finance, with 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Experience in payments, fintech, or financial services preferred
  • Experience engaging with institutional investors and analysts across the buy and sell side
  • Proven ability to lead investor targeting and executive engagement strategies
  • Deep understanding of capital markets, investor targeting strategies, and buy/sell-side dynamics
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in valuation, benchmarking, and financial modeling
  • Executive-level communication and presentation capabilities
  • High emotional intelligence and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience coordinating C-suite engagement and investor-facing communications
  • Proficiency in IR platforms, CRM tools, and financial databases (e.g., FactSet, Bloomberg, Nasdaq IR Insight)
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills with attention to strategic messaging
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
  • An MBA or other advanced degree in a relevant field is highly preferred
