What is the opportunity? The Intermediaries Investment Management team in Nottingham plays a vital role in managing significant assets for advisory firms and their clients. We are seeking a Director-level Intermediaries Investment Manager to join the team and be principally responsible for delivering net revenue growth for the Intermediary business. Partnering with the Business Development team, you will drive transformative growth and identify opportunities to expand our advisor network and deepen existing relationships, contributing to overall revenue growth.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for management of a client base of Advisers and their underlying clients
  • Manage and have broad and deep conversations with Advisers, clients and prospects, developing a full understanding of their financial and personal goals and ambitions
  • Effectively present portfolio performance and timely market insights to clients and Advisers while demonstrating comprehensive understanding of investments and exceptional presentation skills
  • Proactive focus on originating new business opportunities through Advisers
  • Proactively network through seeking opportunities with current, new and potential Advisers and clients
  • Able to support business development events
  • Clearly articulate the full breadth of the RBC Adviser proposition and solutions to existing and prospect Advisers and clients
  • Help to drive efficiency within the branch office/ team to sustain business growth while ensuring good client outcomes
  • Operate with a growth mindset and embody operational excellence and contributing towards the achievement of the branch business plan
  • Meeting FCA qualification and internal requirements for authorisation to create and sign off Investment Proposals and manage clients assets in line with the Investment Mandate

Requirements:

  • Ideally level 7 Chartered Wealth Manager or equivalent. However, level 4 or 6 can be considered if you have extensive experience to complement
  • Significant experience within a wealth management role
  • Proven Relationship Management skills, with ability to understand client needs, the knowledge and communication skills to identify and articulate solutions and the integrity to earn the client's trust
  • An extremely detailed and diverse knowledge of business sectors, current business developments, market trends, and financial products and services to effectively communicate with clients
  • Acts as a role model and demonstrates a high degree of capacity to drive positive behaviours in team members and colleagues
