Job Description:

The Director of HRIS is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, and technical oversight of the organization’s global Workday platform, with a strong emphasis on system integrations and reporting. This position plays a critical role in maximizing the value of the Workday investment by ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient solutions that support business growth and operational excellence. The HRIS Director partners with business stakeholders to align Workday capabilities with organizational objectives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Define and execute the HRIS roadmap aligned with business and technology strategies
  • Directly oversee Workday integrations and operational reporting globally
  • Drive API strategy, web services utilization, EIBs, Workday Studio and other integration frameworks, as well as Workday Prism and Workday Extend use cases
  • Develop a Workday AI strategy that complements the corporate AI initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and data privacy regulations
  • Establish performance objectives and foster a culture of accountability and innovation focusing on emerging AI technologies
  • Foster collaboration with global operating companies across time zones and regional teams
  • Partner with information security to align Workday with enterprise cybersecurity standards
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing HRIS team of Workday analysts and engineers
  • Collaborate in leading quarterly Program Implementation (PI) Planning events utilizing Agile methodologies to establish team priorities

Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Information Systems, HR, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • 12+ years of HRIS experience
  • 5+ years in Workday leadership
  • Proven experience managing technical teams
  • Technical expertise in Workday Integrations (Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Web Services)
  • Proven leadership, communication, organizational, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically within the Workday ecosystem
  • Familiarity with tenets of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
