Job Description:

The Director, HR Business Partner & Corporate Functions Lead is a strategic role responsible for aligning people and organizational strategy with the business goals of the region’s corporate/enabling functions (e.g., Finance, Legal, IT, Security, Government Relations, etc.) This role serves as the primary Strategic HR Business Partner (HRBP) to the leaders of these functions and is responsible for managing, mentoring, and developing a team of HRBPs who support these critical groups across the US and Canada. The Director is a key driver of organizational health, talent development, and change management within these corporate function.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead a team of approx. 3 HRBPs and 1 HR Coordinator to deliver HR objectives
  • Act as a strategic HRBP responsible for the successful execution of HR strategy and objectives in support of business needs and Functional objectives
  • Lead staffing and on-boarding initiatives for the defined organization on time and within budget
  • Work with the finance and leadership team to ensure accurate workforce plans are defined and delivered
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies, practices and procedures
  • Identify potential risk areas/future issues and deescalates conflict whenever possible
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant legal matters
  • Lead meaningful career coaching, including following through with professional development goals
  • Advise and support on internal mobility opportunities
  • Facilitate training in order to effectively communicate new processes and procedures
  • Participate in cross functional and divisional initiatives within the HR community
  • Understand, drive, promote and monitor the implementation of HR policies and related processes in line with the strategy

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or combination of education and appropriate work experience required
  • 15 years of progressive HR experience as an HRBP or leading a support function required
  • Experience working in a multi-functional international environment required
  • Ability to travel 25% Domestic and International
  • Onsite a minimum of 60%
  • Authorized to Work in the US

Nice to have:

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience in Aerospace preferred
  • PHR, SPHR or SHRM certifications preferred
