Job Responsibility

  • Lead the strategic implementation of Movember's Health Systems portfolio across Canada, driving meaningful, systemic improvement in the way health systems and healthcare professionals engage with men's health
  • Grow Movember's presence in the Canadian market, building strategic partnerships with provincial health systems, healthcare organisations, insurance and benefits providers, universities, and government to scale Men in Mind, our evidence-based training program, to thousands of mental health and primary care professionals across the country
  • Develop and execute pilot-to-scale partnership models, negotiate commercial arrangements that demonstrate clear return on investment, and position Movember as a trusted voice in gender-responsive healthcare across Canada
  • Oversee the localisation and delivery of Men in Mind for Canadian healthcare contexts and accreditation requirements, to systems mapping research, to public-facing campaigns that help Canadian men navigate the health system and engage with their own wellbeing
  • Lead Movember's health systems advocacy work in Canada, building relationships with Health Canada and provincial health ministries, convening healthcare leaders and policymakers, and working to embed gender-responsive approaches into health strategy at both federal and provincial levels
  • Manage a small but growing team, including the Program Manager, Health Systems (Canada) and, in collaboration with the Global Director, provide strategic oversight to our Implementation Lead in California
  • Help build the business case for growing the Canadian team further as the portfolio scales

Requirements

  • A degree in a health-related field such as public health, health services, health policy, or psychology
  • Significant experience in senior program leadership, strategy development, and implementation in health, social sector, or related fields
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships across government, corporate, and not-for-profit organisations
  • Experience leading teams and managing direct reports, with a track record of coaching and developing staff
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare system, including provincial structures, primary care, and mental health service delivery
  • Proven capability in managing commercial partnerships and demonstrating return on investment
  • Experience developing and executing pilot-to-scale models in partnership with healthcare or insurance organisations
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across complex programs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to represent an organisation at senior stakeholder forums
  • A genuine commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, including experience engaging Indigenous communities and other underserved populations

Nice to have

  • Experience working in men's health, mental health, or gender-responsive healthcare
  • Familiarity with health professional education, continuing professional development, or evidence-based practitioner training programs
  • Knowledge of the Canadian health policy landscape, including federal and provincial mental health strategies
  • Experience with implementation science, monitoring and evaluation, or evidence-based program development
  • Experience working within or alongside insurance and benefits providers, Employee Assistance Programs, or managed care organisations
  • Bilingual English and French capability
  • International work experience, particularly in comparable health systems such as the UK, Australia, or the US
